Litigation Update
Vancouver College is devoted to addressing the litigation brought forward by a VC alumnus alleging abuse by a former staff member between 1976 and 2013, with the lawsuit's recent Class Action certification in March 2023.

A crucial initial step involves reaching out to potential class action members and providing them with the Class Action Notice. On August 25, we initiated this outreach by disseminating the comprehensive Long Form Notice of Certification through email and mail to those enrolled at Vancouver College from 1976 to 2013, as per our records.

Charles Gattone. A heartfelt sendoff took place at the end of Br. Gattone's last class after 53 years of teaching. Staff and students from all grade levels formed a line that stretched from his classroom, through the hallways, across the courtyard, and into Lannon Hall.
