Daily Prayer

October 7, 2026

Gaspard and Michael,

As a faith and learning community we begin our day.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

God, we thank You for the gift of our lives and for this day.

Today, we remember St. Artaldus, a French bishop and reformer who lived in the 12th century. As Bishop of Belley, he was known for humility and perseverance. Today, on his feast day, we gather with grateful hearts. We thank You for the example of his faithful service, humility, and dedication to bringing people to You. Through his intercession, help us to grow in courage, kindness and faith.

Lord, we also pray for the elders of the Tsawwassen First Nation who lost their lives after being struck by a car last week. Welcome them into Your eternal home and comfort those who loved them.

We pray for our Varsity Soccer Team and JV Football team as they compete today. Keep all athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators safe. Help them represent VC with pride and respect.

Be present with us as we strive to live out lives guided by gospel values; by the way Jesus would want us to treat one another as we "evangelize youth within the mission of the Church".We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Blessed Edmund Rice….. Pray for Us.

Live Jesus in our Hearts.…Forever.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
