Daily Prayer
June 5, 2026
Jacob
As a faith and learning community we begin our day.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
God, we thank You for the gift of our lives and for this day:
This day is the feast of St. Boniface who dedicated his life to spreading the word of the Gospel and serving God with courage and determination, even during difficult times. Let us live by the example of St. Boniface by standing strong in our faith, helping others, and trusting in God as we pray for our exams and the summer ahead.
Today is the last day of school before exams begin. We pray that everyone may have a restful and productive weekend of study and that in the weeks to come, all students may perform to the best of their abilities.
We also pray for the graduating class of 2026, that as soon as they leave the school to pursue their further interests You grant them the wherewithal to achieve success.
Graduates of 2026, may you love God with everything in your heart - be it gladness or doubt, fear or playfulness. May you love deeply the people with whom you live, work and learn, and may they love you. May you never waver in the pursuit of justice and peace, giving yourself in risk, creativity and thoughtfulness. May you live with a spirit of forgiveness, mending what is broken and bridging what is separated. May you remember all the loved ones who have helped you fashion your life story. May you take sadness into your heart, holding it lightly until compassion is born - then, may you give your compassion away. Go gently and joyfully in a spirit of truth, as witnesses of God's love. May God watch over you, Jesus walk with you, and the Spirit give you courage.
Be present with us as we strive to live out lives guided by gospel values; by the way Jesus would want us to treat one another as we "pursue excellence in all endeavours".We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
