Niels and Troy,

As a faith and learning community we begin our day.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

God, we thank You for the gift of our lives and for this day:Today is the feast day of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, an 18th Century Canoness, known for her personal piety and her stigmata. God we may not always see the opportunities to build our relationship with You, but they exist nonetheless. Help us to live with open minds and open hearts as we look forward to the coming of the Lenten season. We ask that You watch over all of our VC athletes as they look towards the end of the winter sports season. Please help them to compete as hard as they can with respect and good sportsmanship. We ask that You keep them all safe and free from injury at this crucial time. We also ask that You watch over our Canadian Olympians competing in Italy. May they do their best to represent Canada in a positive way.

Be present with us as we strive to live our lives guided by gospel values; by the way Jesus would want us to treat one another as we "pursue excellence in all endeavours".We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
