Alumni Past Events

Thank you to all who joined us on September 24 to celebrate our 100 Years! We had an Alumni Reunion Breakfast followed by a campus tour in the morning, the Varsity Football Game vs. Mt. Douglas where we won 35-0, and a Centenary Party packed with carnival activities. We capped off the evening with our grand finale fireworks rising over Lannon Hall rooftop, symbolizing the start of our Centenary year. 

The Alumni and Friends Golf Tournament, sponsored by Wilson Beck, took place on Monday, September 12 at Marine Drive Golf Club. The tournament was attended by parents, alumni, staff and friends of Vancouver College. We extend our gratitude to our sponsors for supporting our 2022 golf tournament after a two-year hiatus. 

Homecoming 2021 was a long-awaited gathering for the Vancouver College community. Students, parents, alumni, former staff, and friends came together to watch the Fighting Irish defeat STM 30-0.

It was great to see alumni come out to participate in our 2022 Devenport Cup after a 2 year hiatus! There were 5 lead changes as no team led by more than one goal. Melo Jubilo (VC'91) tied the game at 5 for Team Gold right before stoppage time. Team Purple was led by Talino Bruno (VC'84) who had 2 goals. We had a historic 5-5 draw and were honoured to have Mr. Devenport join us from the Island. We hope to see everyone again next year!

On Saturday, October 9, alumni from different decades (1989 - 2020) played on the same courts at VC and after the tournament, a reception and award ceremony was held in the Alumni Room.

In 2022, the VC Alumni Association renamed the Annual Alumni Basketball Tournament the John Dumont VC Alumni Basketball Tournament in honour of John, who courageously battled a rare form of cancer.
