Governance and Leadership Teams

The governance and management of Vancouver College consist of three groups: The Trustees, The Board of Directors, and The Administration Team.
 
The Trustees of the Vancouver College Trust are in place to ensure that the Trust's assets are used to fulfill its charitable objects. The Trustees carry out these responsibilities by approving any changes to the Memorandum and Articles of Vancouver College Limited, reviewing and approving the company's audited financial statements, and appointing the Board of Directors.
 
The Board of Directors of Vancouver College Limited is responsible for providing the policy environment in which Management operates the school’s affairs. The Board provides Management with the resources to conduct the business by approving the Budget, including revenues and expenditures. The Board is responsible for providing the Vancouver College with Management by hiring the President, Senior Administrator, who is accountable to the Board. The Board also appoints external auditors to annual review the school’s financial affairs.

With the support of the Board of Directors and the Trustees, the President of Vancouver College is responsible for leading the Administration Team and works closely with the Principal. The Principal leads the three Assistant Principals (for Elementary, Middle and Senior Schools) and the educational support staff in running the school's day-to-day operations to provide transformational learning experiences for all students. Our staff are passionate, diverse, and skilled professionals with years of experience, and strong faith backgrounds.

The President also works directly with the Director of Finance and Facilities Management and the Director of Advancement and oversees financial stewardship, strategic planning, and the external affairs of the school.
 
As educational and faith-centred leaders, we focus on developing the whole person, academically, emotionally, physically, and spiritually, preparing students for lives dedicated to faith, excellence, and service to others.
